Thai Red Curry Paste



Why is this a Foodgasm?

Well the Red Curry Paste itself is not a foodgasm.....what you can make with it is. I have made my Red Curry with Chicken and Mango, Red Curry Coconut Chicken Soup and recently made Red Curry Meatloaves (recipe coming soon on both!) Plus it is easy to make, the only hard part is finding the ingredients! Luckily there is an Asian grocery store near me. If there is not one near you I know you can find it easily online!

 What you need

1/2 medium red onion, chopped
1 stalk leomgrass, chopped into pieces
5 dried red chili peppers (I like it a little more spicy, less heat omit 2)
4 garlic cloves
1 2 inch chunk of fresh peeled ginger
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon of cumin
1 teaspoon coriander
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon fish sauce (only found at Asian Grocery Store or online)
1/2 teaspoon shrimp paste
1 teaspoon amchoor (powdered mango)
2 tablespoons of dark chili powder
3 tablespoons of Coconut Milk
Juice of 1 lime

How to make it

1- Place EVERYTHING in the food processor and run it for about 2 minutes making sure everything is well combined.
